Named officers
The Committee has several named roles which are held by individual people, each elected at the Society’s AGM. These are:
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Stage Manager
- Musical Director
- Publicity Manager
- Wardrobe Manager
- Booking Manager
Secretary
The Secretary performs administrative functions for the Society such as keeping minutes of meetings and sending notices to the Members.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for managing the Society’s finances, including keeping track of income and expenditure, paying expenses and invoices, claiming Gift Aid, and producing reports for the Committee, Trustees and AGM.
Stage Manager
The Stage Manager looks after things like our scenery, props and stage crew, as well as having responsibility for the overall wellbeing of people during performances.
Musical Director
The Musical Director will run the singing portions of rehearsals, as well as do things like source backing tracks and prepare practice material. The Musical Director will also sit on audition panels for singing parts.
Publicity Manager
The Publicity Manager is responsible for publicising the Society and its events, including online and through print media. They also look after things like booking slots for in-person promotions.
Wardrobe Manager
The Wardrobe Manager makes sure that people are appropriately costumed for any roles, as well as taking care of the Society’s costume inventory.
Booking Manager
The Bookings Manager looks after ticketing for our shows and events, assigning people to seats, chasing payments, and regularly reporting to the Committee on sales.
